PETER APOSTEL
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Peter Apostol is the Chief Executive Officer of Family Office Networks (FON), a premier global community that connects family offices worldwide, and FON Media, the innovative brand extension designed to deliver exclusive, curated news and insights to a distinguished audience of family offices, private investors, asset managers, and service providers.
Appointed President of Family Office Networks in 2017, Peter played a pivotal role in the organization’s ascent as a key player in the family office industry, overseeing its expansion to two offices in West Palm Beach and Midtown Manhattan. Under his guidance, FON grew its global presence, hosting over 200 events annually and building a subscriber base of more than 500,000 family offices and industry professionals. This success was achieved before the COVID pandemic temporarily disrupted operations globally. After a brief hiatus in 2021 to advise three prominent family offices, Peter returned to FON as CEO and partner, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a renewed focus on growth.
Originally from New York, Peter relocated to Florida in 2008 where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of Miami. He began his investment career in college, notably orchestrating the successful turnaround of a marketing company. He also specialized in deal packaging and co-investment sourcing for family offices early on, which helped to establish his expertise in key areas such as fundraising, family office structures, offering structuring, and capstack advisory. He has sat on all sides of the deal table, advising on SPACs, M&A, real estate, and debt transactions, including a focus on distressed investment opportunities.
A licensed Series 82 and 63 professional, Peter continues to make his mark on the family office sector with a keen emphasis on strategic partnerships. When he’s not working, Peter can often be found on the golf course (despite his self-proclaimed lack of skill) or soaking up the sun on the water. He is also the proud companion of Suki, his American Eskimo dog.
